It’s Friday evening that can only mean one thing…cocktails! So whether you’re feeling the pre payday pinch or getting ready for a big night out here are a couple of fabulous cocktails I leant during my time as a barmaid to kick your weekend off in style.
First up with summer well and truly over, why bring it back ever so slightly with a Sex on the Beach. It’s quick, easy and tastes amazing.
Start by putting 1 (or 2 if you like ‘em strong) shot of vodka and 2 shots of peach schnapps into a glass of ice. Add even amounts of orange and cranberry juice. Stir and garnish with some cherries and a slice of orange and you’re good to go! If you have any grenadine lying around chuck a splash of that in too for an extra kick.
Hint: Make yourself a Woo-Woo by using this recipe and just leave out the orange juice.
Next up is the classic Cosmo, perfect for a girlie night in.
Start with a double shot of vodka, and a half shot of Cointreau in a glass of ice, top up with cranberry juice and add a hint of lime juice and stir. You’re all ready to get the party started! If you have any Limoncello or lemon flavoured vodka add it in for an extra twist.
